The innovative, dual layer PES membrane simultaneously delivers high parvovirus LRV, capacity and flux. For optimum quality and consistency Viresolve Pro membranes and devices undergo comprehensive performance and integrity tests. One of these tests, the Binary Gas Test (BGT) developed by Millipore, is more sensitive than an air-water diffusion test in its ability to detect small defects that could negatively impact virus retention. Millipore uses the BGT to test 100% of the Viresolve Pro Magnus and Modus devices as well as Micro devices that are used in virus validation studies. For additional assurance, you can perform a simple, fast and non-destructive air-water diffusion test as an optional pre-use and post-use integrity test.
